Calvert Launches Healthy Feet Foot Care Program:

We are pleased to introduce our new foot care program which we have named "Healthy Feet."  The goal of this program is to provide our clients, especially seniors, with the opportunity to receive foot care in their home.  On the initial visit we will do a basic foot soak and massage and a skilled nurse will evaluate the clinical status of the feet and also lower extremities.  If problem areas are identified then a determination will be made as to the next step, which could include a home visit by a podiatrist or the scheduling of additional services by a home care aide or skilled nurse on a fee-for-service basis.  If certain specific criteria are met, then the primary care physician may be contacted to discuss the possibility of services being provided under the Medicare home health benefit.  Please call us at 747-8972 if you have any questions about this new program.
